Seeking Lawrenson family history

I am trying to find out more information about my family.
My father's family was from Coppull, Chorley, and I have only limited information.
My father, Edward William Lawrenson, was born around July 1, 1931.
He died in his forties in Blackpool.
I don't know where he is buried.
His parents were Bill and Rose Ellen, I believe her maiden name was Proudfoot.
She committed suicide, from what I hear.
My father had a sister Mable, and a brother Alan.
My great grandparents lived in a house on Mill Lane, Chorley, and one family member was called Doris.
My parents divorced when I was two.
I got this information from my mother, and am hoping to find family members and more information.
