A few years ago, the Conservatives weren't that hungry for power. Now it seems that they are far too hungry.

A couple of weeks ago I joined up with some friends near Highfurlong.

Their local councillor had just died, and the Conservatives were out leafletting and campaigning before the poor man had even been buried. Such oppurtunism!.

Common decency should have dictated that they at least waited until after the funeral.

If this is new compassionate conservatism, all I can say is bring back Thatcher!

No prizes for guessing where our votes will NOT be going.

Don't be so melodramatic. I will be glad to see the back of this Government. Grange Park wouldn't vote Conservative anyway. Because easily-led people stuck in the past still believe in Labour. God help us if Fisher gets back on the Council, I was glad to see the back of him.

I just wonder if Mr Phillips is a member of the labour party! I'd not received a leafletuntil a few days ago, well after he was buried.

And if we're taling about compassion, what about calling a by election while the poor MP was not yet buried and her daughter was out knocking on doors.

That's new labour double standards again.
