A COMMUNITY choir is preparing for a concert in collaboration with an award-winning choir based in Shrewsbury.

Bay Community Choir, based in Grange, has announced its next concert on Saturday, May 4, will be A Spring Sing with the choir Of One Accord.

The concert is taking place at Victoria Hall in Grange at 7.30 pm. 

There will also be a raffle and, in line with their ethos of supporting local charities, they will be donating proceeds to Carer Support, South Lakes. 

A spokesperson for Bay Community Choir said: "They have chosen to travel to our beautiful town for a choir tour and we are delighted to be sharing the stage with them and also performing a couple of songs together.  

"This is sure to be a lovely evening of entertainment and high-quality choral singing.

"Our new term is well underway, but new members still have a chance to join us starting.

"We currently have around 60 members and our focus is singing for fun and friendship, no previous singing or musical experience is necessary. "

Entry for the concert is £10 at the door with under 16s free. This includes refreshments during the interval.
