A walker tripped and fell near Scafell Pike's summit on April 23, resulting in facial injuries and drowsiness.
The incident occurred while the rescue team was attending to another case nearby.
The Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team, along with the Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency Rescue 939, and the North West Air Ambulance Charity H08, responded to the situation.
Despite initial concerns over availability, two helicopters, Helimed 08 from Blackpool and Coastguard Rescue 936 from Caernarfon, were dispatched to the scene.
Helimed 08 reached the incident location first, assessing, treating, and transferring the injured walker to the helicopter.
Fortunately, the injuries weren't too serious, and the man was flown to the valley for further care and recuperation.
Rescuers aided the walker's transfer to his accommodation at the Wasdale Head Inn.
The teams extended their gratitude to both helicopter crews, pointing out that "the transfer down from Helimed 08 saved a long stretcher carry for the teams."
A spokesperson from Wasdale MRT said: "We wish the gentleman a speedy recovery."
