Rugby players pick up Lancashire RFU awards

Fylde players scoop Lancs County awards Fylde players picked up the two principal player awards at Friday evening's Lancashire RFU annual dinner. The awards were for performances in this season's county championship campaign.
Steve Nutt was named as senior player of the year and Oli Brennand as young player of the year. Steve was there to pick up his trophy whilst Fylde 1st team manager John Greenwood accepted Oli's on his behalf as he's still with the England Counties squad on tour in North America.
It's thought that this may be the first time for many seasons that players from the same club have won both awards.
