Construction of the new all weather pitch at the Woodlands started this week.

Despite planning and administrative hold-ups work finally begin on the new pitch on Tuesday (July 22).

The siting of the 60m by 40m all-weather pitch requires the movement of the second pitch and the training pitch further north.

It's expected that building the new pitch will be a 13 week project, running up to October 21. The installation of floodlighting on the main pitch and the improvement of the training lights will be incorporated into this programme.

The main pitch floodlighting will have to be completed in time for the adoption of GMT at the end of October as all first team games will kick off at 3pm during the season.
